A much loved open plan stone and tin clad Bruny Island family shack required a small seperate bedroom for its owners. The new COR-TEN room was grafted at the knuckle of the existing cranked plan, where an existing over-exposed and under-used roof deck had previously sat. Clad entirely in Tas oak, the tapering cabin-like interior narrows to a hooded lancet window, framing a tall eucalypt at one edge and opening to an expansive water view at the other.
